  I purchased a good dog from this location. I am not sure entirely if it is the sameocation others have made comments for this one was case to hwy 434 and hwy 36 intersection. I would purchase another dog from them in the future. But hopefully will be long time from now have good friend and companion.

  You should adopt your best friend from this shelter. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although it is a last resort, this is a Parish operated kill shelter so get out there and help the staff save lives. I adopted a wonderful dog and kitten with so much personality and love to give.

  I've adopted 3 dogs from this facility and every time is was an all around wonderful experience!!

  I rescued two beautiful and lovable dogs from this shelter and the staff was wonderful and so polite. Unfortunately, There's just not enough room and funds to expand their facility to care for all the animals coming in. I believe the animals become frightened when their time is up and realize they will be (killed) euthanized! Please save a life or two. This is a loving shelter that needs your support NOW. Adopt your forever family pet that will promise you more love than you can ever imagine ❤️

  This place is ridiculous, the workers there are cruel and put down animals that community services workers like for no reason, even when they are perfectly healthy just to diminish the joy a sane person would get from the company of a pet. There's one in particular. Aside from that, the facility is very unhygenic, smells of foul odors EVERYWHERE! They curse at work release workers who are literally "Doing Their Job" plus more and this one lady, KELLI, is just a cold heartless woman and decides one day to throw a rag that was whiped with fecal matter on a work release worker, that I EVEN WITNESSED. I am not one of these workers, simply a businessman who wanted to adopt a puppy for my daughter and just couldnt believe what I saw. During holidays, they have parties at the shelter and consume alcohol in large amounts then drive home drunk but when someone is sent their for that same reason, they treat the person(whomever it may be) with the utmost atrocity and I pray that these get in trouble for malpractice. Karma eventually catches up with you then burns you like a blazing bonfire.
